Products & services

DuPont Teijin Films offer polyester films with a wide range of properties from opaque, white and black to light transmitting and clear films, films for electrical insulation and thermal films with controlled shrinkage or formability as well as weatherable, UV stable and hydrolysis resistant films and bondable films for permanent or peelable seal.

Mylar^®, Melinex^® and polyester films are films of choice for customers in Health Care, Alternative Energy, Flexible Electronics, Capacitors, Food and Non-Food Packaging, Durable Media as well as the Automotive and Constructions market, and have lately been identified as a key material for the production of face shields.

Major Materials & Manufacturing projects

DuPont Teijin Films was first to introduce white films based on unique polymer technology, first to offer commercial PEN film to the market and first to launch films with heatseal technology, redefining the Food Packaging market.
DuPont Teijin Films has launched toughened white films with heat seal properties and films containing Post Consumer Recyclates. also offers recycling capabilities through direct depolymerization on our Luxembourg production lines.
Our product range has expanded and been re-invented many times to develop new generation polyester films adapted to the changing market needs.

Technical / technological capabilities

Thicknesses of our films range from 0.5 microns to 500 microns. Slit width may range from 30 centimeters to 3 meters. Up to reel lengths of 48.000m (depending on thickness). Controlled surface textures and customized functionality. Appearance range: transparent, hazy, white, black and metalized.
