Products & services

Subsidiaries of the CERATIZIT GROUP

  • CB-CERATIZIT covers the Asian market and is specialized in the production of carbide rods, industrial wear parts, high-quality cutting tools and solutions for wood and stone working.
  • Stadler Metalle is involved in the recycling and trading of secondary raw materials. With a network of globally active partners and its own fleet of vehicles, the Türkheim-based company is able to respond flexibly and quickly to the requirements of its customers. Based on many years of experience, Stadler combines quality, service and price to provide a range of services in line with market requirements.
  • CERASPIN  provides high quality ceramic wear parts (Silicon nitride – Si3N4), i.e. tailored blanks and final ground products. The Luxembourg based company is the only ceramic supplier offering a 100% European supply chain.

Major Materials & Manufacturing projects

CERATIZIT handles the entire process chain, from the raw material to the finished products. The highly customized hard material products guarantee resistance, performance and savings. CERATIZIT is increasing the productivity and lifetime of its clients’ products.

Tools for the metal-cutting industry

The portfolio includes cutting inserts and tool holders, as well as drilling and milling tools made of solid carbide. In addition to a wide range of standard tools for machining processes such as turning, drilling, grooving, milling and reaming, CERATIZIT offers customized solutions for particularly demanding machining requirements.

Semi-finished products and components for industrial production

The portfolio includes semi-finished products, turnkey tools and components made of hard metals. The hard metal solutions from CERATIZIT are used in metal forming, tool making, for wood and stone working and for many other high-wear processes.

Technical / technological capabilities

The R&D Centre has the necessary equipment to create innovative solutions for wear applications and to develop custom solutions in close cooperation with the customers.

The state of the art analytical capabilities for powder metallurgy applications include field emission electron microscopy (equipped with EDX, WDX and EBSD sensors), optical microscopy, powder analysis, thermal analysers (like dilatometry, thermogravymetry, differential thermal analysis as well as evolving gas analysis by mass spectrometry), X-ray diffraction at various temperatures, corrosion tests, Raman analysis and chemical analysis by combustion (%C, %O, %N, %S) or chemical analysis by ICP. Mechanical tests like hardness, transverse rupture strength, scratch test, calotest, creep resistance or abrasion test are also possible.

FEM simulations and high-end CAD software allow an in-depth analysis of materials and faster innovation cycles.

Main customers / collaborations

The CERATIZIT R&D Centre collaborates with all of the main players in the Group’s field of interest. CERATIZIT has partnerships with customers, universities and research institutes all over Europe and beyond.
