Core business

NIUM is a spin-off of the University of Luxembourg created in 2019 with the mission of bringing digital personalized nutrition to the consumer’s world, using metabolic modeling as an approach. To do so, NIUM is developing the Nutrida platform, a highly innovative digital platform that creates an ecosystem where testing laboratories, online supermarkets, and users are all connected with the aim of boosting health and expanding economic areas, all through balanced nutrition.

NIUM has been awarded the competitive Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) JUMP programme (open to all research domains), to unlock the full potential of our technology and is part of the 2020 Lausanne-Hub EIT Food Acceleration Network cohort. Furthermore, NIUM is currently working with various multinational companies in the food sector to analyze data from clinical trials of individuals trying different product formulations. Additional R&D contracts are being negotiated.

Products & services

NUTRIDA – digital personalized nutrition platform connecting medical laboratories, retailers, and consumers. Nium is looking for additional partners in the laboratory and retail space to allow the expansion of this service in Europe.

R&D Services – Nium works with companies analyzing clinical trial data focusing on the metabolic effects of specific food products and diets. Nium specializes in the analyses of gut-microbiome datasets and integrates that with other metabolic markers to derive predictive models.
