Core business

Flen Health is a privately owned, globally active medical device company with roots in Belgium, headquartered in the House of BioHealth (Esch-sur-Alzette).

The company was founded by Philippe Sollie, a pharmacist, based on the results of his research to develop an ointment that efficiently heals wounds without being cytotoxic. This product found its way into the medicinal cabinets of many Belgians and was the starting point of Flen Pharma’s (today: Flen Health’s) international expansion.

Products & services

Innovation and patient-centricity have always been main concerns for Flen, leading to the development of a range of advanced products for the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds and other skin disorders.

All Flen products are easy to use and non-cytotoxic. They are the outcome of in-house research which is performed, among others, at the Luxembourgish research site (House of BioHealth, Esch-sur-Alzette).

Inside Europe, the products are being distributed through Flen Health’s own sales teams, present in five countries, and outside Europe through distributors.

Main customers / collaborations

Flen’s customers include patients as well as healthcare professionals and ultimately a health care system’s reimbursement agencies.

For chosen research projects, Flen Health collaborates with European universities.
